2000 Beer Festival

For our 2000 Beer Festival the Oxford Branch returned to Oxford Town Hall, scene of the successful 1998 and 1999 events. The theme of the festival was Tales of Merrie England, telling the stories and history behind various beers and their names. The festival featured around 100 real ales; brewery stands from Archers, Hook Norton and Wychwood; real cider and perry; and bottled beer from around the world. The newly published 2001 Good Beer Guide was on sale at the festival (but sold out pretty fast!).
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped staff the festival, and all the visitors who came and drank. We hope you enjoyed it!
