Oxford CAMRA:
Branch Area

"Oxford branch" is arguably something of a misnomer: in addition to the city of Oxford, we draw our membership from a much wider swath of rural Oxfordshire than the name would suggest. The map below gives an approximate representation of the branch borders:

The area of the branch is formally defined in terms of postcode areas and sectors, comprising:

  • OX1, OX2, OX3, OX4: Oxford and immediate surroundings
  • OX5 (excluding OX5 3): Kidlington, Ot Moor
  • OX14 (excluding OX14 4): Abingdon, Burcot, Clifton Hampden, Radley
  • OX18 (excluding OX18 4): Alvescot, Aston, Bampton, Black Bourton, Carterton, Clanfield
  • OX28: Witney
  • OX29 (excluding OX29 0, 8 and 9): Barnard Gate, Eynsham, New Yatt, Newbridge, North Leigh, Shifford, Standlake, Stanton Harcourt
  • OX33: Stanton St. John, Forest Hill, Wheatley
  • OX44 9: Cuddesdon, Garsington, Nunenam Courtenay, The Bauldons

Sector OX14 4 is the responsibility of South Oxfordshire branch. Sectors OX5 3, OX18 4, OX29 0, OX29 8 and OX29 9 are the responsiblity of North Oxfordshire branch.

Oxford branch also takes responsibility for a small number of pubs which have GL7 postcodes, but which are on the Oxfordshire side of the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire border (villages such as: Broadwell, Filkins, Kelmscott and Langford).
